“If I had six hours to cut down a tree, I would spend the first four hours sharpening the axe." -Abraham Lincoln

Think about that for a minute... Are you guilty of spending too much time on things that keep you chopping, and not enough time to rest and recuperate?

We all have responsibilities to be sure, but when do you schedule time to sharpen your axe?

Want to improve at your career? Be a better parent? or maybe a better spouse? Take time to exercise, rest and relax on a regular basis to keep yourself sharp.

Studies prove that when employees take more scheduled time off they become a more productive employee. Most all countries around the world know this as fact and have up to double the time off when compared to Americans.

Think of an elite athlete. They spend most of their time training and recuperating from training and very little time actually competing. If they exerted themselves as they would on game day, every day...they would soon be a not so elite athlete.

So go ahead and schedule a weekend away, or more time for yourself to take care of you each day... Stay sharp my friends.
